Reason to be
SALA EL TREN was born in 2002 to respond to a need: it was conceived in order to help and train artists musically in the field of live performance, and also to stimulate and activate the local market and offer with a wide program of shows cultural musician of the city of Granada. Over the years that Sala el Tren has been operating, it has become a reference site for fans of good music thanks to a complete line-up of performances of all styles, also providing all the necessary services so that the quality of the show or event are indisputable. The result is a room that, thanks to its construction and the effort of the technical team, is considered one of the best and most complete in the country, something that technicians, artists, producers and clients who have passed through have experienced.
Thanks to a risky, daring and above all very attractive programming, the room has managed to open a gap, first in Granada and later at the state level. His technical disposition, his breadth of musical styles (Rock, Metal, Mestizaje, Hip Hop, Electronic, Funk, Soul, Indie, Pop, Flamenco, Folk and a long etcetera) his highly qualified team, the closeness between the public and the artist The magnificent sound makes the atmosphere breathed in each show one of complete catharsis between the respectable and the musicians. Our work philosophy has a supportive initiative and strong commitment to local emerging bands, as they are our cultural investment of the future.
A little
History
The club was officially born in 2002, but the adventures of its founders began back in 1998 with an Andalusian cooperative dedicated to the sale and rental of sound and lighting equipment. Part of the cooperative decides to take advantage of its knowledge about the world of sound, to orient its field of operations towards the production of events. That’s when Sala el Tren was born to respond to an incipient need for artists and groups in Granada. It is conceived in order to help them and train them musically in the field of live performance, putting at their disposal rehearsal rooms, a recording studio, a musical instrument store, in addition to the club itself, which on the other hand has also contributed to energize and activate the local offer with a wide program of cultural music shows. During this stage, activities related to music are also carried out, such as different relationships with record labels, distributors and festivals at national and international level.
In these 22 years we have carried out activities among which more than 2,300 events can be counted in which more than 3,400 musical groups have participated, and more than 3,000 DJs, without counting the performances, theater sessions, humor, juggling and batucadas that they have also had a place in our space.
